The Committee on Science and Education recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine upholds the Draft Resolution on Declaration of a Moratorium on Closure of Comprehensive Educational Establishments in Rural Area

The Draft Resolution (Reg. No.2227) declares a moratorium on closure of comprehensive educational establishments in rural area, until the Law "On the State Budget for Year 2009" is adopted.

The Committee members believe that adoption of the Draft Resolution will compel the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to take actions aimed at prevention of closure of comprehensive educational establishments in rural area, and to alter conditions of village schools funding.
